An evening celebrating magnificence with The Three Choral Foundations, opening with Handel's Ode to St Cecelia - the patron saint of music - a work that was so popular it was revived nine times for performances by Handel during his lifetime.  Wonderful conversations between instruments follow in the unique orchestration of the ever-popular and colourful Brandenburg Concerto No 4, directed from the harpsichord.  The evening will end with Bach's grand Magnificat, with five soloists, a five part choir, for - for the time - a large orchestra, resplendence and jubilation, marking our 'Magnificent Oxford 2025'.
